Data-Driven Business

Analytics, Data, Visualization

This is the challenge for me in analytics; to unlock the information in random data and use it for descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics.

37 Terabytes of Data is collected every day. Businesses thrive or fail depending on how well they use that data in decision making. Data visualization and dashboards help users understand the data visually. This blog was made to show how useful and easy it can be to use analytics to turn 37 TB of data into key insights for businesses and there employees. This blog is a place where data visualization ideas can be shared and interesting topics related to business analytics are discussed.

My Blog

Sarah Robinson

Hi my name is Sarah Robinson. I am a senior Business Analytics Major at Grove City College. I decided to start a blog because I have a passion for business analytics, but know that many others find this a very challenging subject. Analytics does not have to be done only by computer scientists. Everyone can learn to use the latest tools and technologies available to deliver data analysis, business results, and quantifiable return on investments for our businesses and business partners. Here I am going to show you how.

I am a problem solver and I love the fact that a business analyst acts as a liaison between the IT people who devise the solutions and the management who present the issue that needs to be addressed. This allows the business analysts to be part of both the problem and the solution. As an enthusiastic and goal-oriented individual, I relish challenges that motivate me to work harder while also providing learning opportunities. I am passionate about storytelling with data. I intend to learn in my role and deliver products and services that add long-term value.

A few of my hobbies include: reading a good book, skiing, golfing, paddle boarding, playing my clarinet, and serving my community.
